David photograph collection consists of one large album and some loose photos reflecting Colonel David's service with the Special Services Division of the U.S. Army in North Africa and Italy from 1943 to 1945. There are photos of Colonel David and other Special Services personnel, as well as photos of athletic events and visits of famous entertainers like Jim Falkenburg, Eleanor Roosevelt, Irving Berlin, Frank Sinatra, and Phil Silvers. There are also numerous photos of scenery and famous sites such as Algiers, Athens, Caserta, Rome, Casablanca, Paris, Milan, and other cities. Also, there are some excellent views of the eruption of Mt. (Mount) Vesuvius in 1944.
